After breaking its last active user record set at 26 million last April, Steam repeats the feat during the Autumn Sales, this time raising the account to more than 27 million.

The SteamDB database has indeed indicated that a new peak exactly established at 27 active users was reached on November 384.

Record d'audience

Between Black Friday, the Fall Sale on Valve's platform and the Thanksgiving period in the United States, many users have found themselves on Steam over the past week. So much so that a new record for active users was set yesterday to surpass the 27 million count. Of these, 7,8 million users were in-game, led by Steam's flagship multiplayer FPS, CS:GO.

Another surprise concomitant with this new audience peak, certain games on sale such as Cyberpunk 2077 have experienced a significant resurgence in popularity on Steam. Other platform canons such as DOTA 2 or PUBG also took advantage of this period to exceed their respective audience peaks.

As the end of year celebrations approach, this new record could be exceeded again very soon, especially during a new period of Winter Sales on Steam.
