Decidedly, the postponements of highly anticipated games will continue until the final hours of this year 2021. This week is the reboot of the saga Saints Row which shifts its release date quite significantly.

Presented at Gamescom last August, the next Saints Row was due to arrive on consoles and PC on February 25, 2021. The Volition studio then found itself at the heart of an extremely busy start to the year with the launch of big names like Elden Ring , Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and so many more. Fortunately, last-minute delays lighten the horizon for this first quarter of 2022.

The gangs will be waiting

In a press release, Jim Boone, who is in charge of development at Volition, announced that Saints Row will not be released next February. Indeed, the game is now scheduled for August 23, 2022, a delay of six months. In this specific case, it is the pandemic that is singled out.

In all honesty, we underestimated the impact COVID would have on our schedule, even though the whole team quickly adapted to working from home […] However, due to the size and scope of our new Saints Row, it became clear that to create the best game possible, we need to give our team more time […].

Saints Row will therefore land on August 23, 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
