PS5 Pro: a new rumor for a release in 2023

As the PlayStation Showcase approaches, the craziest rumors are circulating on the internet. The latest concerns an improved version of the PS5 which could be launched in two or three years.

In 2017, Sony launched the PS4 Pro, a revision of the machine released four years earlier and equipped with tenfold power that could allow certain games to run in 4K. But in order not to fracture its community, the Japanese manufacturer had then ensured that its entire catalog remained compatible on both versions of the PlayStation 4. The PS5 soon to be obsolete?

According to YouTuber Moore's Law is Dead reported by Tom's Guide, Sony is already working on a PS5 Pro. According to the site, PlayStation could try to get into 8K video games with a machine that would then cost between $600 and $700. Still according to these sources, this revision would not arrive on the market before at least the end of 2023 or even the beginning of 2024.

Note that the generally well-informed YouTuber also mentions a PS5 Slim from the end of 2022. Obviously, it is impossible to verify this information so we recommend that you take it with a grain of salt. Last December, clues were already pointing towards the existence of a PS5 Pro.
