One month after the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Nintendo has already announced the next games in the saga: Pokemon Scarlet & Purple. Two new productions which revealed themselves with a first trailer where we can see the three starters of this 9e generation, some Pokémon present in the games but also their world.

At first glance, they will borrow a lot from Arceus, including its open world which will be uncompromising this time.

An open world without compromise

Pokémon Legends: Arceus was a real turning point for the license. Game Freak's latest production marked the first steps of the open-world Pokémon franchise and it was presumably just the beginning. On the sidelines of the announcement of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, Nintendo has put the official website of this new game duo online, which the Japanese publisher describes as “designed for young and old”.

Big N insists above all on the fact that it will indeed be a full-fledged open world, without division between the large areas. In other words, it will be possible to venture without transition into the wild lands and the cities of the region, visibly inspired by Spain. Players will also be able to capture Pokémon scattered throughout the environments and which will evolve on the ground, in the air or in the water as well as in the streets of the cities. Remember that Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be released at the end of 2022 on Switch.
