PlayStation: an iconic saga will soon return to PS4 and PS5

If the news is rather calm on the Sony side at the moment, the Japanese manufacturer must undoubtedly be busy preparing for the launch of its new PlayStation Plus. And several iconic games will join the service this summer.

Last month, Sony finally lifted the veil on the formulas of the new generation PlayStation Plus. Indeed, from June 30, the service will change form to be available in three distinct offers. The Premium level will be the one that will offer maximum benefits, including access to games released on the brand's previous consoles. And a saga will be particularly highlighted.

Return among the living

Admittedly, the Siphon Filter saga has fallen into oblivion over the years. Developed by Bend Studio (Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Days Gone), the series never made it past the PS2/PSP generation. However, these third-person shooters with a hint of infiltration were rather well received by players at the time. This is pretty good, since Sony probably intends to relaunch this franchise.

The PlayStation opuses Siphon Filter and Siphon Filter 2 as well as the PSP episodes Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Siphon Filter: Logan's Shadow have recently been registered with the South Korean classification body. Alas, it shouldn't be about remasters, but rather the original titles included in the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog. This formula will have 340 games from the PS One, PS2 and PSP generations.
