True sensation of last year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons had been neglected by Nintendo to the point of not receiving any major update for almost a year. The publisher caught up with its community by announcing theUpdate 2.0 and the extension Happy Home Paradise, billed as the game's "first paid DLC".

False hope for fans, Nintendo has just confirmed that this first extension will be the only one.

No other paid DLCs

Phenomenon of containment, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is about to experience a second wind with an expansion and a final major update. Several fans then wondered if Nintendo was going to continue monitoring the game via other paid DLCs. The cleaver has just fallen, and it's no.

The Japanese publisher has confirmed with IGN that Happy Home Paradise will be ACNH's first and last paid DLC. “This is a major update to the game and it provides a different and very distinct experience. It was therefore logical to include it as the first and only paid DLC of Animal Crossing: New Horizons ”, justified Nintendo. Players can still expect small patches to fix bugs here and there, but there will obviously be no major content added after the release of update 2.0 and the expansion, included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack.
