Obtained: Captain Gilles in Bitter Springs
Associated quests: "Bitter Springs Medics' Blues", "Climbing Ev'ry Mountain", "I Cast a Spell on You", "Restore Hope" and "Traces of Our Mess"
In Bitter Springs (Image 1), visit Captain Gilles and offer him your services to obtain this quest as well as (Image 2). To start, you will have to collect food for the camp.

Go to the cave located just above the captain's tent (Image 3) to find some of the food (Image 4). Exit the cave then climb a little higher to find a second entrance (Picture 5). Inside, unlock the door (easy difficulty) and collect the second part of the food.

Return to the captain and tell him that you have found food (Picture 6), do not forget to specify that these elements are radioactive (science 25). You must now be in charge of bringing troops back to the Bitter Springs camp, for this, start by going to Forlorn Hope (Image 7) and talk to Major Polatli (Image 8).

If you are "Adulated" by the NCR, they will agree to send troops to the camp, if not, you will have to complete the quest “Restore hope”. Then go to the McCarran base and talk to Colonel Hsu (Picture 9). As before, the colonel will help you if you are "Adulated", if not, refer to the quest "I put a spell on you". Finally, go to the golf camp (Image 10) and chat with Sergeant McCredie (Image 11). As before, the adulation of the NCR will allow you to get help immediately, if not, the sergeant will give you the quest "The traces of our mess".

Now that you have successfully mobilized reinforcements for Bitter Springs, you can return to Captain Gilles to complete the quest.
