In addition to the DC FanDome, we could also follow Minecraft Live 2021 this weekend. This was an opportunity to learn more about Mojang's next major title update.

Thus, the players will be able to rub shoulders with important novelties from next year.

An extremely busy schedule

We were therefore able to discover the Wild Update (version 1.19) which will be deployed in 2022 in Minecraft. The latter will focus on nature with the arrival of a new biome. In this kind of swamp, players will find a new type of tree called Mangrove and the wood that goes with it. Mud will also appear and will be used in particular to create brick. Mud can even be obtained by simply pouring water on the ground.

Regarding the fauna now, frogs (in several variants) with their tadpoles will be there. They will be accompanied by fireflies that the batrachians will devour with pleasure. Underground, the Deep Dark zone will appear. In particular, it will hide a boss called the Warden who will detect the player using the sound waves of certain blocks. The atmosphere will therefore be relatively dark.

Direction the Game Pass

Another good news is that chests can finally be placed in boats. Finally, this end of the year will see the arrival of an update Caves & Cliffs: Part II (version 1.18). It will change the generation of the world with ever higher mountains and more sophisticated caves. But we're not quite done yet...

In November, Minecraft will join the Xbox Game Pass PC catalog. And since Microsoft wanted to do things right, the Java and Bedrock editions will be offered separately for subscribers to the service.
