Here is a long awaited announcement. While it was initially planned for the current 2019, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga suffered numerous delays before finally aiming for a spring 2022 launch.
However, we now know when the new game bringing together the nine films of the saga will arrive thanks to a small gaffe from Game.
Update: The wait before the formalization will not have been long. Warner Bros. confirm the release of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga out April 5 on consoles and PC and gratifies fans with a new gameplay-focused trailer.
An April release for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?
In a since-deleted Tweet, the famous retail chain announced the release of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for April 5, 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One and PS4. A date which would also have been corroborated earlier in the night by the Microsoft Store which would have made a similar error.
Enough to predict an imminent official announcement, with hopefully new images at the key, the last trailer of the game dating indeed from Gamescom 2021. Recent rumors whispered an appearance of the game during the next big State of Play which would be held in February, where one of Warner Bros' other big hits would also be expected: Hogwarts Legacy.
