Currently under development, Grand Theft Auto VI should give us a phenomenal graphic slap thanks to Rockstar's new in-house engine, Rage Game Engine 9.

In any case, this was advanced by the well-informed Chris Klippel, insider journalist and creator of Rockstar and Naughty Dog magazines.

Grand Theft Auto VI should have some under the hood

According to Chris Klippel, Rockstar should strike a blow with the sixth opus of its legendary saga of open-world action-adventure games. Powered by the ninth iteration of its Rage Game Engine, GTA VI is expected to feature graphics far ahead of their time.

An assertion for the less ambitious, but we know the ability of Rockstar to offer us beautiful games to die for (with the exception of GTA Trilogy…). Red Dead Redemption 2 is a perfect example of this – an in-game photo even won a prestigious award.

The release of GTA VI is unfortunately not yet set in stone, but could be closer than you think. In the meantime, GTA V, one of the best-selling games of all time, has of course received yet another port to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

On a slightly less positive note, Rockstar recently unveiled a controversial paid subscription for Online. This should in all likelihood be present when GTA VI is ready to give us the much-promised graphics slap.
