The indestructible Grand Theft Auto V lands this week on next-gen consoles, but Rockstar Games has so far refrained from revealing gameplay snippets. Fortunately, the first in-game videos are beginning to flourish on the web.

More than eight years after its initial release, GTA V returns to service with its version intended for Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X|S. The star studio promised us better fluidity, reworked textures but also the arrival of ray tracing. With just hours to go before launch, we can finally see these new features in action.

A really noticeable change?

Some content creators were lucky enough to receive their "next-gen" copy of GTA V early. We can therefore enjoy this fifth opus in 4K at 60 FPS with ray tracing activated via the sequence below captured on PS5. To obtain such a rendering, you will have to select the Performance RT mode (absent on Xbox Series S).

The visual overhaul does not look stunning but it is clear that this expensive GTA V has gained in fluidity. In addition, this second video (see again below) stops on the significantly shortened loading times of this version. Remember that the game is on sale until June 14, 2022.
