Today is the 20th anniversary of GTA III, an opus which will have marked a drastic turn for the franchise and which will have propelled it to the rank of monument of video games. Surely without coincidence, it was on this date that Rockstar decided to reveal the release date of GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
Fans of the license will be able to rediscover the three emblematic games of the PS2 from November 11, but they will have to pay a high price.
A release date and a first trailer
After many rumors, Rockstar made Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition official a few days ago. Two pieces of information were missing: its release date and its price. To celebrate the anniversary of GTA III in due form, Rockstar announced on October 22, 2021 that GTA: The Trilogy will be available on November 11 at a price of 59,99 euros for all platforms. For the physical versions, however, you will have to wait until December 6th.
To justify its price, the compilation will include, in addition to its visual improvements, several modernized and updated elements such as the sight, the targeting system, the selection wheel for the radio and weapons or viewing distance. Note that the three games will be based on the conduct of GTA San Andreas and that it will be possible to immediately restart a mission in case of failure.
