Taking advantage of the uproar around the anniversary event, miHoYo showed off the content for Update 2.2 of Genshin impact, “In the twists and turns of the mist”, during a dedicated livestream.
On the program for this next major update, a new island, a new playable character and new challenges with Tartaglia and Xinyan.
All About Genshin Impact Update 2.2
miHoYo has announced the arrival of "Into the Mist", the Genshin Impact update 2.2, for October 13th. If the community was disappointed by the anniversary event, this next update has something to cheer them up, even if it won't particularly advance the story. First, it will explore Tsurumi, the last island in the Inazuma region and the most difficult to visit. Shrouded in a thick gloomy mist, it is home to Hounds and Rift Pups, stealthy monsters that can turn invisible and apply Corrosion status to opponents. They can be encountered in Geo and Electro form.
Genshin Impact update 2.2 will also mark the arrival of Thomas as a 4-star playable character. A Pyro fighter who wields a polearm, he is able to provide solid defense and bonus effects to his teammates as well as deal area fire damage while protecting himself with a "burning barrier". New escapades with Thomas and Sayu as well as the “Warriors of the Labyrinth” event with Tartaglia and Xinyan, which will take place in the dungeon of the “Mystical Onmyou Chamber”, will also be available.
A rhythm mini-game will be added to all these novelties, as well as a new kingdom and plans for decorating objects for the Serenitheater. Feature support for the DualSense is also new in this update.
