Five tips to prepare for The Witch Queen in Destiny 2

Five tips to prepare for The Witch Queen in Destiny 2

The Witch Queen will be Destiny 2's biggest expansion in recent years, and many players may be wondering what they need to do to prepare for the expansion before its release on February 22, 2022. Here are five tips to prepare for With Queen in Destiny 2.

play the story

As obvious as it may seem, players will want to make sure they're up to speed with all the story content before The Witch Queen drops. This includes all previous expansions that are still playable, as well as seasonal story content from Season of the Hunt to Season of the Lost.

Savathun, the main antagonist of The Witch Queen expansion, has long been embedded in Destiny lore and is said to have been setting up dominoes over the past seven years, all of which should fall in The Witch Queen. It's best to catch up on everything so you don't get lost while playing this expansion.

Complete Seasonal Triumphs

All Triumphs associated with the last four seasons will be unobtainable after The Witch Queen is released. Over 280 Triumphs, as well as all titles and rewards that can be obtained by completing these Triumphs, will no longer be available. You'll want to make sure you complete any Triumphs you may have left behind or worked towards.

Dead Manโ€™s Tale et Hawkmoon Exotics

Dead Man's Tale and Hawkmoon are big Exotics that have been added to Destiny 2 over the past four seasons. Additionally, these Exotics brought with them some of the best Exotic quests Destiny has ever seen.

Unfortunately, the quests will be unplayable after new expansion releases, so you'll want to make sure to run through them before they disappear. It's also a good idea to farm God Rolls from these weapons. Both weapons can have random rolls, so every time you complete the quest you have a chance of getting a God Roll.

Gather the materials

It's always a good idea to stock up on materials before embarking on a new Destiny 2 expansion. Collecting materials such as Planetary Resources, Upgrade Modules, and Enhancement Cores and Prisms will help make the transition to new content much smoother. With the addition of many new weapons and armor pieces, you will need a good stock of resources to upgrade these items as soon as you receive them.

Clean your safe

Vault space in Destiny 2 is limited, with only 500 slots to store weapons and armor. Most players will already be approaching capacity with their vaults, so it's always a good idea to clean up any unwanted or unnecessary gear before jumping into new content. Choice items to get rid of are things that you never intend to use again or that have no sentimental value to you.

It's also worth knowing that Ghosts and Ships don't need to be stored in your Vault, as they can be picked up from Collections for a small fee. Take your time with this, as it can be a difficult process. Although we can promise you, you don't need all that.

With these tips, you'll be ready to take on Savathun and his Hive Lightbringers when The Witch Queen releases on February 22, 2022.
