    EVE Online: two new games, including a tactical FPS

    After the failure of Dust 514, CCP will once again try its hand at the FPS genre with a new spin-off set in the EvE Online universe. Still unnamed, the title is developed by CCP London, a studio opened for the occasion, and made up of industry veterans.

    A tactical and online FPS

    If Dust 514 was intended for the general public with arcade gameplay, this new FPS will be much more tactical, with a high level of teamplay. Planned to be playable online, we do not yet know anything about a possible scripting.



    The studio, present at FanFest 2022, nevertheless promised a dark atmosphere with marked graphics. Currently in pre-production, the game will be the subject of advanced discussions with the community to meet the expectations raised by this new spin-off.

    As we said, the name of this project is not yet known, and its anecdotal presence at the FanFest nevertheless allowed a promise: the official announcement will be made later, with a more complete presentation. A release date is therefore not yet relevant, as is availability on other platforms in addition to the PC.

    A 4X for mobile

    Alongside the mobile version of EVE Online developed by CCP Shanghai in partnership with Netease, the Icelandic studio announces that the same duo is currently developing Project M5.

    Behind this barbaric name hides a free-to-play 4X strategy game for Android and iOS. On the gameplay side, we thus find all the ingredients of the genre, such as teamwork, large-scale combat, a political system.



    While Project M5 is in pre-production, the game is nonetheless more advanced than CCP London's tactical FPS. Tests will be launched this year for a probable release in 2023.
