When you reach the quest marker, turn around and you should see a dead NPC with a briefcase next to him, as shown above. Pick up the weapon and Skippy will start talking to you, and after a bit of dialogue you will have the following targeting mode choices for Skippy.

  • Puppy Loving Pacifist Mode โ€“ This targeting mode will allow Skippy to only target members, making it the non-lethal option.
  • Stone Cold Killer Mode โ€“ In this mode, skippy will only aim for killer headshots.

You can choose whichever mode suits your playstyle, but be aware that after 60 kills, Skippy will permanently switch to the opposite targeting mode. So if you plan to use Skippy for a while, we suggest you choose the opposite mode to the one you want.

However, after 60 kills and the reset, Skippy will ask you to return them to Regina Jones, their original owner; this will also start the โ€œThe Machineโ€ quest. This part is completely optional, but if you choose to ignore the wishes of the iconic weapon, it will continually ridicule you. If you decide to take the gun back to Regina, she will reset Skippy and rename it Daisy and give you a reward by keeping the gun or paying 7k whirlwinds.
