If it is doing well on the commercial level, Cyberpunk 2077 nevertheless has everything of a missed date with the players who were impatiently awaiting it. The questionable quality of the versions available on consoles and the incessant postponements of updates or other DLC will have significantly damaged the reputation of the Polish studio…
On January 2, rumors about the near future of Cyberpunk 2077 appeared on 4Chan, then on Reddit. While waiting for a hypothetical confirmation from CD Projekt RED, it is essential to be careful with the details that follow.
Like a second youth?
The studio would plan a live in February to unveil the next-gen patch for its game. This update would be seen as a kind of new launch, and the title could even be renamed Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition. Among the novelties, we could find a free DLC (with four weapons), the new game plus, a rebalanced loot system, improved AI or even a new interface. Other minor elements, such as Judy and Panam sending more messages to V, should be included.
In addition, Cyberpunk 2077 could be entitled to a mini-game reminiscent of Gwent from The Witcher 3 and taking place in cyberspace. As for the first big paid extension, it would take place in the Pacifica district in a place called “Combat Zone”. Two very violent gangs, the Bozos and Slaughterhouse, are said to be fighting over the area. Evolving in this environment would be somewhat reminiscent of STALKER Finally, a second expansion would be at the very beginning of its production and would only be released if the first receives positive feedback.
