Remedy Entertainment will soon expand the universe of its latest game: Control. The Finnish studio has formalized the creation of two new opuses, including one that will focus on multiplayer.

And in the shadows, the Alan Wake license seems to be preparing his return…

Keep Control

Since the release of Alan Wake in 2010, Remedy has always chosen to develop completely new franchises with each new project. This was the case with Quantum Break in 2015 then Control in 2019. However, the independent studio has just confirmed the start of construction of various games around its most recent license. And for that, a big publishing agreement was signed with 505 Games, a publisher who had already taken care of the first opus.

It was through a press release written by game director Mikael Kasurinen that Remedy Entertainment briefly lifted the veil on a certain Project Condor. Behind this code name, we find a multiplayer spin-off for Control. The game will incorporate cooperative mechanics by bringing together up to four players with PvE (player versus environment) elements. The concept art above aims to illustrate the intentions of this new game.

An impressive number of projects

But Remedy will not stop there. A second title is part of the deal with 505 Games. The developers explain that another big budget game taking place within the Control universe is planned. It should quite logically be a sequel but impossible to be sure of it for the moment.

Finally, you should know that in addition to these two very ambitious games, Remedy takes care of another multiplayer software called Project Vanguard in addition to the CrossfireX solo campaign. As for Alan Wake, a remaster of the writer's first adventure and a second episode are reportedly in production with Epic Games. In short, the studio is clearly not going to be bored.
