This was one of the key announcements of the beginning of the year: the takeover of Bungie by PlayStation for an amount of approximately 3,6 billion dollars. At the origin of sagas such as Halo or even Destiny, the studio has yet to reveal anything about the future. But first clues could well lead us to a track concerning the direction that their future project could take...

Towards a third-person game for the next Bungie license?

180 degree turn for Bungie?

While Destiny 2 continues its journey nicely and has recently been accompanied by a brand new DLC, entitled "The Witch Queen", the first job offers around a mysterious Bungie project have started to appear. appear on the web.

Obviously, this information should be taken with a grain of salt as it does not in any way suggest formalization. But through these job offers recently published by Bungie, we discover that the direction that the studio's future production would take would mark a certain turning point in its history.

Indeed, after twenty years spent rubbing shoulders with the FPS genre, the studio is looking for a creative director, who would then have the mission of carrying out a third-person action game project. It doesn't stop there as it also mentions that special emphasis should be placed on the characters, hinting that story and narration could play a central role in this as yet unannounced title. If we do not yet know the nature of this project, and nothing affirms that it will really see the light of day, this choice would materialize a change far from insignificant for the studio.

Anyway, it is worth remembering that despite the acquisition of Bungie by Sony, the American company has assured that it will maintain its creative freedom and that its future productions will not be exclusive to PlayStation platforms.
