Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the latest installment in Nintendo's whimsical franchise about creating a town full of beautiful shops, villagers, and landscaping. Players have the option of taking on the role of the villager (not the mayor in this episode) while helping to develop the town by building, planting, and purchasing items. As the island levels up, the number of villagers allowed on the island increases. The player can have a maximum of ten villagers, given that they prepare the plots correctly.
Best Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers
Although players don't have the option to directly select their villagers, they can either go hunting them on mysterious islands or trade with real players online. There are nearly 400 villagers in ACNH. So which villagers are the best of the best?

Antonio is an anteater jock who uses "honk" as his quirky catchphrase. His favorite song is "KK Ragtime" and he furnishes his house with the Modern series. He can be seen around the island working.
Ours – Megan
Megan is a normal personality bear with purple fur. Her favorite song is Forest Life and she plays it at home if a stereo or record player is purchased. Much like Gayle, she begins wandering the island at 6 a.m.
Bird – Piper
Piper is a white bird with an energetic personality. His favorite song is KK Synth. She decorates her home with the elegant Cabana series, which complements her minimalist appearance. She will have an exciting demeanor, which is great for cheering up the island.
Bull – Coach
The trainer is a yellow jock villager with blue horns. His favorite song is "Mr. KK", which you can hear him playing in the town square if you add a music player. He will be interested in exercise and self-confidence.
Cat – Happy
Merry is an energetic personality cat with characteristic bangs and a cute appearance. Her favorite song is "Neapolitan", which you might hear her sing if you're lucky. Since she is energetic, she will easily interact with other villagers.
Chicken – Knox
Knox is a grumpy chicken who can be seen walking around dressed as a knight. Her favorite song is “KK Chorale”. He furnishes his house with objects from the Golden series and the Zodiac set.
Vache-Norm
Norma is a sweet-looking pink cow with a normal personality type. His house is original, with a field of flowers. She's sure to fit in well with most villagers, due to her neutral personality.
Lionceau – Pekoe
Pekoe is a Chinese-inspired bear cub that adds an understated atmosphere to any island. Her favorite song is "Imperial KK", which can be heard when she chooses to play music. Her bedroom matches her default oriental-inspired style.
Deer — Handsome
Beau is a sweet, lazy deer type with a soft spot for the human villager (player). Her favorite track is “Mountain Song,” which matches the style of her forest-themed house. Since he is a lazy villager, he likes quiet activities like fishing.
Dog – Daisy
Daisy is an adorable dog villager with a normal personality, which means she will start walking the island at 6am. Her favorite song is “Forest Life,” which you might hear playing in her simply designed home.
Duck – Freckles
Freckles is a clumsy duck with an energetic personality. His catchphrase is duck, which exemplifies his quirky attitude. Players should make sure to remember the conversations they just had, as she won't do it with her forgetful brain.
Eagle – Celia
Celia is a majestic eagle villager with a normal personality, which means she will have a neutral influence on the island. Her pretty alpine-style dress gives her a distinct look that makes her look cute in her rattan house.
Elephant – Tia
Tia is an elephant that looks like a teapot, which gives her an endearing appearance. Her personality is normal, meaning she'll be walking around starting at 6 a.m. His favorite song is "KK Bossa", which can sometimes be heard playing in his cafe-themed house.

Lily is a frog with giant blushing spots and a normal personality. His catchphrase is "toady". Although she has a normal personality, her demeanor is nice to have as an addition on any island.

Boone is a baboon-inspired villager with a jock personality. He can be seen on the island interacting with other villagers or pumping iron. He is confident but can sometimes put off other islanders. His appearance and his friendly demeanor largely justify his presence.
Goat - Pashmina
Pashmina is a brotherly goat eager to help everyone, including the player. Although their attitude can be overbearing, she is a great addition to the other villagers and the main cast member. His house is a stunning retro-style restaurant.

Bertha is a blue hippopotamus with a normal personality. She blends in well with most other villagers, exuding a calm and friendly demeanor. She participates in a variety of hobbies. Her favorite song is “Two Days Ago”.
Horse – Julian
Julian is a unicorn-inspired horseback villager with a smug personality and sparkly style. His demeanor can be tense, but he can help add a dose of confidence to the player and other villagers. His favorite track is "Space KK", which can sometimes be heard in his polar-themed house.
Kangaroo – Carrie
Carrie is a casually dressed kangaroo who wears her joey everywhere. Her personality is normal and she likes to call any villager "little". Carries supplies her home with unassuming items for herself and her child.
Koala - Eugene
Eugene is a cool looking koala with a smug personality. His leather jacket complements his big ego. Despite being arrogant, he gets along well with others. He has a surprising office-themed house.

Marina is a colorful and endearing octopus with a normal personality. Her signature is "fuzzy", which she will call the villagers if they visit her in her Lovely Series pink house. His favorite song is "Bubblegum KK", true to his bubbly style.
Ostrich – Phoebe
Phoebe is a sisterly ostrich with a phoenix-inspired appearance. His demeanor is confident, helpful and sometimes a bit bossy. She has an amazing lava-based house that reflects her mythological origins.
Penguin – Roald
Roald is a peculiar looking penguin with a jock personality. He may be a jock, but he's still friendly with a big heart for other villagers. Players can hear "KK March" playing in his Ice Palace.
Pig – Lucy
Lucy is a pleasantly dressed pig with characteristic bangs and eyelashes. She has a normal personality and uses the catchphrase "snoooink". Players can hear “KK Sonata” in his music recital themed house.
Lapin - Chrissy
Chrissy is a polka dot bunny with an energetic personality. She brings a lot of personality to any island, as seen through her "glittery" tagline. Her house is adorned with adorable pink furniture from the Cute series.
Rhino – Meringue
Merengue is a unique looking rhino – she looks like strawberry shortcake! She has normal personality and her favorite song is "KK Ballad". Her home reflects this, with a mix of cute and energetic designer items.
Mouton - Stella
Stella is a shaggy pink sheep with normal personality. She can be seen wandering the island starting at 6 a.m. while interacting with the villagers and participating in various hobbies. Her default house has the wooden series with pink leaves.
Squirrel – Marshal
The Marshal is a highly sought after squirrel in ACNH. His smug personality goes well with his "boucher" phrase. This brooding squirrel has a home with a touch of coffee to match his upscale attitude.
White Tiger
Bianca is a beautifully crafted white tiger. Her default home has simple wooden furniture and leopard print flooring. Using the stereo, she can play the song "KK House". His personality is energetic.
Wolf – Audie
Audie has a special story. It is believed to have been designed after the famous grandmother who logged over 3000 hours in the previous Animal Crossing installment. She has the energetic personality and a home inspired island diner.
