Battlefield 2042: a very popular mode removed from Portal, the community is on fire

Yet one of the most popular modes of the very solid Portal of Battlefield 2042, DICE decided to remove it from official playlists, causing a wave of discontent within the community.

It also made its anger known when, failing to talk about much-awaited patches on the game, the Swedish studio shared a piece of history of the shared universe that Electronic Arts intends to build around the future depicted in the FPS. exclusively multiplayer.

Rush in the comments

Despite several massive fixes and a spot in the top 5 best-selling games of 2021 on Steam and Xbox Series X|S, Battlefield 2042 continues to get bad press from its community. This mainly criticizes the lack of communication concerning the efforts made to improve a gaming experience, certainly better than at launch, but still far from optimal.

One of the reasons behind this wave of anger: the removal of the very popular Rush mode from the official Battlefield Portal playlist. It's still possible to play it on custom servers, but it will yield very little experience compared to an official playlist.

Another element that has stirred the ire of fans: a tweet on the official Twitter account of the game which tends to densify the history of its exclusively multiplayer FPS.

Faced with these numerous outcry, Andy McNamara, Director of Communications at Electronic Arts, split a message, now deleted: โ€œTeams have the right to rest. Fixes are in place, but are taking a long time to be operational and deployed.โ€

The Battlefield community must therefore still be patient before seeing what DICE has in store to save its game from the storm.
