On the sidelines of the launch of its first beta phase, taking place from August 5 to 9 for players who have pre-ordered the title or obtained beta keys, the Turtle Rock teams gave us an overview of the content of the latter. Cooperation and PvP for an encouraging result? That's what this weekend's statistics suggest.

Let's remind those who would have liked to try Back 4 Blood before considering any purchase that a second beta phase will be launched from August 12 to 16 for a new batch of zombie kills.

At the top of Steam's basket

For this first weekend of discovery of Back 4 Blood, the least we can say is that the players responded to the appointment. According to the SteamDB site, Turtle Rock's game rose very quickly to the top of the Steam rankings.

With an attendance score that looks like a roller coaster, Back 4 Blood managed to reach a peak of 98 simultaneous players in the middle of its first beta phase, on August 024th.

It remains to be seen now if the game will reproduce this success during its next beta phase which begins this Thursday. But with the restrictions linked to pre-orders or beta keys, the crowds are likely to be even greater if the first returns have convinced some.

Nevertheless, Back 4 Blood may have to redouble its efforts to fully convince, because the Left 4 Dead, which does not say its name, fails on a few aspects, in particular its versus mode, the dynamism of which suffers from the comparison with its main inspiration.
