Animal Crossing: finally, clues suggest the arrival of Robusto coffee in New Horizons

ยฉ Nintendo

Despite some 32 million copies of his Animal Crossing: New Horizons passed, we can not say that Nintendo pampers its most loyal players with regular content. For proof: claimed with horns and cries since the release of the game in March 2020, the Robusto coffee has still not been implemented in this new opus. But that could soon change.

Data miners have dug into the source code of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' latest update, and have surfaced some finds that hint at the famous cafe's opening soon.

Strong coffee and bubble tea

It all started with a tweet, published last week by a Japanese media that had the opportunity to try ACNH's new content update in preview. In the captures shared on the Internet, the players discovered that food was going to be available in game. In this case, a bubble tea.

It was enough for the fans of the first hour to imagine that this marked the arrival of the famous Robusto coffee in the game, and its barista pigeon.

But, as one might suspect, this is not quite the case. Or at least not yet. However, several intriguing elements have slipped into the code of this version 1.11 of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Starting with the line titled "drMuseumCafe", which observers say gets a new reference to an unknown entrance in the game's museum - the "IdrMuseumEnt03", which comes with another line of code suggesting the arrival of a new part in the establishment.

Present in all the previous opuses of the license, there is no doubt that Robusto will eventually show its feathers to the players of New Horizons. The whole question, on the other hand, is to know when, and if the first interested parties will not already be tired of having waited a year and a half to be able to enjoy their coffee.
