With four new roles and a battle pass, Among Us reminds that it is still very supported by its developers.
Among Us is getting one of its biggest content updates since launching with this major patch.
New roles and Cosmicubes
One of the most important novelties is the addition of three new roles for crew members. The scientist has access to other players' vital data at all times and recharges his battery by completing tasks. The engineer is able to move through air ducts, while the guardian angel can produce a protective shield to prevent the killing of other crewmates.
Among the imposters also there is change with the shapeshifter. This shapeshifter has the ability to disguise himself as a crew member to cover his tracks. These new roles can of course be customized, removed from games, or given a percentage chance of appearing.
The update also introduces Cosmicubes. It's actually a kind of "combat pass" in which you have to progress to unlock cosmetic elements, such as skins or hats. There is a free version of the pass and a paid version, the latter being both more generous in items and allowing you to progress more quickly.
